  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

More from this batch

Definitely post. I've been doing some drawings of a slippie based on the Bushboot also. There are a couple of slippies I have planned. Have you seen Chris Crawford's video? Its good.

I'll try to get some pictures of the in-process knife on Monday. I'm really excited about finishing it so that I can start on the next one and incorporate all the lessons learned. I was never a huge fan of slip joints growing up, but seeing some of Bruce Bump's work completely changed my perspective. Suddenly, I'm obsessed with Slippies and Damascus.

I haven't seen Chris Crawford's video yet, but I've read through his tutorial several times. I did email Brenda a link to it on his site though with the subject line "Future Gift Idea". Bruce Bump did a WIP on a Swayback Jack over on KD that was very informative. I also purchased "How I make Multi-Blade Folding Knives", which is Eugene Shadley's half of "How to make Multi-Blade Folding Knives". I bought it directly from Eugene for <$30 versus $300+ for a used copy of the original:eek: Last I heard from him, he still had a few copies, so let me know if you want his contact info.

That is cool that you're sketching some slippies. Your patience, craftsmanship and attention to detail will definitely help you be successful with them. There are definitely some similarities between your Bushboot and Chris Crawford's EDC. Seeing that reinforced my desire to do a slippie based around the Bushboot.

Feel free. Let me see what you do.

Blimmin' 'eck!

I think I just drooled so much I'm dehydrated.

Absolutely sterling work Andy. Really beautiful work.
