More goodness from glennbad

My goodness... that is truly a transformation. I'm shocked he was able to increase the beauty of something that started off so magnificent to begin with.

EDIT: GREAT JOB GLEN! :thumbup:

For those interested, here's what the pile side looks like.

That is quite a transformation! I am anxiously waiting for two knives to come back home from Glen:)

Wonderful transformation Glenn, great work. That knife really stands out now. Congratulations Chris.

that is a beauty.a.g. him self would be proud to show that off, glen is a notch above artist.he keeps the gears in his head spinning nonstop.

I have this AG Russell curved regular jack that I like very much. It's a tank of a knife and I love the wharnie blade configuration. However, I'm a fool for stag. So, recently I sent it off to Glenn along with some amber stag and instructions to replace the scales, take off the small bolsters on the butt of the knife and replace the brass pins with stainless pins. I also asked for him to fashion some rattail bolster detail. Here are before and after pictures, check 'em out.

What a magnificent metamorphosis!! :thumbup::cool::thumbup:

Astounding craftsmanship, Glenn. :thumbup::thumbup:
Thanks for sharing the story, Chris! :cool::cool:

The knife blade does not use a kick to stop the blade when closing. Instead, there is a floating pin down in the well that the blade tang rests against when closed.

Funny; I have that on my Cowboy, but it hadn't registered that the pin replaces rather than supplements the kick. Losing the kick enables the wider blade, too, I expect.

Once the blade is resting on that pin, you cannot depress the blade any further as it does not push against the back spring.

I just got two knives back from Glenn! I really wish I had some before pics...but the jigged bone pen had celluloid covers and the mammoth one had broken MOP before He got his hands on them. I only have one problem- which one to carry first!

Thanks Glenn!

That AGR is incredable after Glenn,s work on it. I like it sooo much I went looking for one to buy but didn,t find it :(
