Been doing a little leather bending lately, and just finished one for an old Mean Street.

Now I've finally got my "out in the woods" set mostly finished up...

It's 100 degrees here for the next few months, but come September these two will see some serious use. The SK is riding in a in a "dundee rig," and the MS on the belt. They were supposed to match better, but I left the antique stain on the MS sheath a little longer :o

These two should be able to handle anything in the East Texas piney woods

Great looking sheaths there. I really like the color you put on them. Carving looks great too!

Thanks for the compliments guys, there's something gratifying about making your own, even if they're not quite of the same caliber as the pros (and believe me, they are not quite there -- i just show you the good pics ;))

Congrats great work

Bro, that's my second attempt at real carving. I've seen your work and you'd do way better than that with the right tools

Great work man!

You better learn from the pros, no sense getting started on the wrong foot!

Seriously, it's WAY easier than it looks to build functional quality leather sheaths --- just takes a little time and money investment. Now, building top quality bullet-proof works of leather art (like some of the pros around here do), that's a little more difficult proposition.

I've been amazed at how easy it is to do introductory level stuff. I'm also amazed at how beyond me some of the pros are. It's like playing the guitar --- anyone can learn G,C,D. Then there's Clapton...
