Edit: Could someone please post pics of the old vs. new nail nick and benefits of each?

The old nail tick is, in my opinion, the best knife opening feature ever designed. The new nail tick provides no advantage to the user, though many report is causes no issues either.

I have a friend who is the same dimensions of you. He occasionally carries a Mnandi and has no trouble opening and closing One handed. I haven't seen him use it for any heavy cutting tasks. Next time I see him I'll ask him if he thinks the sizes an issue wirh his hands.
