It was a quiet day at work this afternoon. Not too many diamonds to set. I decided to start on some miniatures. These are the result.
Bowie is all 14K,white blade, and yellow S-guard and pommel nut. Blade is hollow ground and file worked. Tang is threaded 10/0 to fit nut.Scale is 14:1 for a 17" bowie. OAL= 1.2". Blade Length= .66", thickness= .025 with distal taper.Handle is mammoth.

The set of four daggers all have platinum blades. Guards are 14K and are fitted and soldered on.Handles are ivory. Large dagger has a fluted handle.(Sizes are scale to a 16" dagger)
.65" OAL/.33" BL, 24:1 scale
.42" OAL/ .2" BL, 30:1 scale
.30" OAL/ .18" BL, 53:1 scale
.13" OAL/ .08" BL, 123:1 scale (no guard)
To get a feel of the size, the black circle is about the size of a nickel.

Stacy, you are a sick man. In a VERY VERY good way! Those are just too cool! platinum blades? How much do these little guys run usually just to make?

Sam:
I made a set of four like these a couple of years ago. Sold them for $200.
The bowie will be $100.

Materials are not much, since there is mot much in them. The bowie has maybe $20 materials. The daggers have a total of about $30 in materials.

mete: 1/4 scale ???? That's HUGE.

You're a sick man Stacy, but we wouldn't have you any other way :D

Nice work.
