Nice, any word on how your heat treat for the Carpenter's steel is? comparison between the Aus8, thinking about the Code 4 Spear point myself right now.

Their XHP is tempered to 60-61 HRC. That's a couple of points higher than the AUS8. I think the BD1 is about the same hardness as the old AUS8, but it's tougher due to the formulation.
 
Thanks for the info, ended up switching gears and ordered an Ultimate Hunter :) Hope to get it sometime this week.
