When I had the problem recently with the Museum model, Yangdu wrote me and asked if a chandan Kothimoda would be alright. I was expecting a Kothimoda khukuri in a plain scabbard, but what I received was the flagship of the HI line. It is the 17 1/2" silver scabbard koth. What an outstanding piece, perfect in every respect. I will treasure it always. The most beautiful khukuri and scabbard that I have ever seen.

As a gift, Yangdu also sent me a sword. It's the one styled after the Philippine Pinuti that Wicca100 sent. What an amazing sword. A great combination of strength and quickness. I can't wait to try it out on an appropriate target, maybe some water filled 2 liter bottles.

As Bill would say, you're one of the good guys, Steve, and Yangdu knows that, as so say we all. Your thread inspires me in the hope that good will come out of this. You've been doing the Dharma work in getting that kid educated and become a doctor. HI is employing and thereby feeding families in Nepal in its Dharma work. How could not only good come from the two of you?

i cut my toe last week on a khukri! waaah. where's that horrific picture with the 1/4 pint of blood on the floor :) mwa hah hah. that was my fault though :) stupid sharp khukri shouldn't have been allowed off the leash.

A stand up guy, a classy lady, some truly exquisite blades. Nothing at all surprising here, and yet one cannot fail to be humbled by it all. Though I'm often accused, and rightly, of living in the past, right here, right now, is a pretty good place to be. :)
