Did I say that when my MM handle came apart, that I was slightly bruised by the front guard? I still have a bandaid on my thumb! 
(Well, actually not, but that's because I'm toughing it out.)
Also, the chape on the scabbard poked my leg!
That's gotta be worth, what? A bilton anyway!
Seriously Steve, that kothimoda is beautiful. I've never seen a chandan one. I have an older bone handled one, but it is very cho creepy w/ habaki and not one of my favorite blades frankly. It has a beautiful scabbard though.
I was going to say good things happen to good people, but after seeing your thumb I'll just say I'm glad you got these knives as they help to balance the force out a bit! Still hoping for a quick recovery for your hand.
