Guys, thanks for responding to my previous post. I have more questions.

1. Anyone there with the HubCap pivot pin head. What do you think about it? How does it compare with the standard 6 hole pivot pin head?

2. I'm leaning towards swept blade style. Neverthless I'd like to get some feedback about how do you like both: swetp and tanto styles? How do they perform in everyday use?

3. Blade finish: bright mirror or stonewash? Aren't scratches showing on the mirror finish?

Thanks,
Kris

Having just ordered one this weekend I can tell you that they only come in the stonewashed finish (the website hasn't been updated). Can't help you with the other two questions. I'm expecting to receive mine by Saturday. I'll post my comments after I've had a chance to play with it (the knife, that is) for a while

I went for the standard pivot pin. One thing that is cool about the knife is that the pivot pin head moves with the blade! I just liked the holes as opposed to the slots

The Stonewash finish is MUCH shinier than any other stonewashed blades I have seen including my own. Jim briefly explained the process to me and the results are fantastic.

My Synergy has the tanto blade. I have more that enough utility style knives and thought the tanto would be different.

I don't know why I keep calling it MY Synergy either. Due to my daughters PERFECT report card, it is now hers! I should have bet with my head and not over it

Thanx Neil,

My daughter is only 7, so I guess I'll get to keep MY Synergy for a while

I am seriously considering one. I cant decide between the swept point or the tanto. I generally dont like tantos, but this one looks like an excellent translation of the style. Which do most others prefer and why?

Neil, OUCH! Ya know, I've been doing really well here at work...maybe I deserve a nice mil-spec Commander!

I have both the Tanto and swept blade. I have always liked the tanto and most of my knives are Tantos. I use the swept blade daily, I find it more useful for what I ask the knife to perform.
I have the 6 hole pattern. Just like it better. Personal prefference. That is what makes this knife special.
The fit, finish and feel are excellant.
Mr O'Young has done him self proud...
