we're all still learning. those are knives i would buy. very nice. i like the look of the tanto, very simple look. and the finish is nice on the two that arent mirror polished. not that theres anything wrong with mirror, it just shows scratches and imperfection. all nice work. what is your heat treat process?

Thank you, L.K.
Well, I'm using charcoal forge to HT. I quench by looking at the steel colours. I create a lot ot metal for the junkyard unthil i got the right colour. I use file to check the quench hardness before temper at 250C. It is about 50-53 HRC after HT this way. ( I went to local factory to check my results by HRC tester)
Tanto knife is hand rub up to 600 grit. The handle is hidden tang constuction and the ballance is in the blades top, because of the light handle.

About finishes - I am using 2 mashines for grinding, because I,m on a budget, and I cannot afford a good beltgrinder. I am calling them the hollow grinder and the flat grinder.
Hollow grinder is a bench grinder, but I removed the stones, and I mounted a rubber disc with belts witch have exact size as the wheel diameter. 180mm - about 7 inches. I am hollow grinding up to 400 grit and then I buff on a cloth wheel , mounted ot the same benchgrinder engine.

My flatgrinder actualy cannot flatgrind bevels on blades, because is a cheap woodworking beltgrinder, and I don't have enough belt grits for proper finish, so, I can only make satin finish knives with this two mashines - grinded up to 150 - 200 grit.

But ot two clippoint knives I desided to mirror polish the hollow grinded bevels, and to leave the flat, unbeveled part grinded up to 150 grit, The imperfection on the flat part of the knives is to contrast with the mirror polished hollow grind. It is not so cool, but I still have that idea in my head.

Someday I will buy a KMG or a coote.:jerkit:
