More traditional pocketknives (pics)

Here's where to get info on Robeson:

Queen Cutlery Co.
(800)222-5233

The Robeson line has ats-34 steel and a couple of nice Barlows. I'm looking through their catalogue right now. Seems like a good combonation of trad. design and modern material.

Bailey Bradshaw is one of the few pocket knife makers who is also a blade smith. He also is one of the only slip joint makers I have seen that offers 52100 in his line up. I have 8 of his offerings, and 6 on order. The absolute best knife for the money, and as good as many of the top end pocket knife makers.I have been using a stag 52100 trapper for over a yearevery day, and find no fault with the piece.

My Queen Cutlery catalog came in a few days ago. To echo Uncle Bill's comments, they've got a wide range of ATS-34 pocket knives. Between their Schatt&Morgan, Queen and Robeson lines (I guess Queen owns them all now?) they've got a nice selection of quality uber-stainless

multi-blades.

The latest issue of Tactical Knives hints that Queen's "QS14" stainless is a modified 440C. If that's true even those should perform better than Case's stainless blades or Buck's 425 Modified steel.

I'm kinda partial to the Wharncliffe Wittler myself. Looks like a handy little knife for small day-to-day cutting chores. May have to call them up and order one pretty soon.

Senator was kind enough to let me borrow his Bailey for a bit, and it's even nicer in person! I'd opt for a smaller version with 2.5" blade for myself something to cut the hangnails that I seem to be growing more of as I grow older! Very nicely done!

Thanks again Kelly!

Bailey is a really doing some great work, he and Richard Rodgers both are making some beautiful pieces.

Here is a collection of Doctor's Knives.
Quite a few made by Blue Grass Cutlery for Winchester and Case. All are high quality except for the Shadley. It is nothing short of awesome.

Y'all should definitely check out the A.G. Russell line. I just bought an American Muskrat in white bone and ATS-34. What a beauty. $80 shipped. At this price it is worth it, but it is at the top of my price point for what it is. When they come out with their Stockman in white bone I'll get it too.

They also carry the Queen line and have some nice looking Doctor's knives. I was treated with great service and am very pleased with the quality. Definitely a keeper!

Just yesterday the brown truck dropped off two pocket knives from AG Russell for me, a Case/Bose Trapper, and a Cattaraugus KCC knife with a unique locking main blade that is released by pushing on the small blade.

This field of knives is new to me, but I'm getting some help from a generous forum member. I'd appreciate any more info and pics you more knowledgeable members can provide.
