Chicks dig scars... :D

Got two notable ones:

The first is a 2 inch scar on my left thumb, a gift from a gear blade that sliced it to the bone while i was messing with the odds and ends in my dad's workshop. Must have been about 10 years old. Mom the ER nurse slapped a wad of gauze on it and drove me to the hospital for stiches.

The second is a smaller puncture scar at the back of my right knee from where I fell off a rambutan tree and got my leg impaled on a branch. It healed with no permament damage but looks really wierd like i've got a hole in the back of the knee.

...Too many to count (many on my legs), but here are the notable ones:

small blue circular scar above left knee: Kid icepick-grip stabbed me in the lage w/ a pencil in 5th grade. Graphint chunk still in there.

Left shin, pocking and dicsoloration: In the Abaco Island chain in the Bahamas, swam into a cloud of "sea lice" These microscopic things are migratory baby sea anemones, complete with fiery stinger cells.

Forehead, scar in eyebrow btwn eyes - Run in with a coutertop at high speed. Bled like a stuck pig, but didn't really hurt.

Star-shaped puckered scar on back thunb-palm area: put hand thru glass window, glass shard aligned itself w/ hand, sunk in about 1 inch, minor tendon scraping.

I feel that scars, like tattoos, let you kow the body is still working, and that you are using yours to its full potential. After all, if your body doesn't have to prectice healing that often, what will it do when you really need it to heal? Testing, 1..2..3...

Jim, what the human body can take, and even bounce back from? I have noted that as I get older, I still heal, but not as fast as when I was young. What resilience is possessed by the human body!

Good scars, Jim!

My most exciting scars are the two from scratching chicken pox. :( My life just isn't exciting. :)

This is the new thread. Saw some colors when I was up last and they looked pretty ( well, the sweatsuit grey wasn't my bag, but that's just me ).

OK - Last heard, Bill wanted $25 apiece - gotta check and see if that is the delivered price.( Checked and it was $25 delivered. ) Back to the top til Bill gets back. Call or email him then.
