More web specials pictures

I've had one in my cart three times now, but I'm put off by the blade cutout. If it wasn't for that, I'd be posting a picture of one today! I have a 532 with those scales and it's a knockout.

Great picture! Mokume bolsters no less :)

I was (and am) actually thinking of maybe switching one of the 154CM blades with the cut-out on the apple coral. But that would bump the price even higher....Hmmm.

Maybe even one of the BCCI paperstone Drop Points :cool:

Ok oregon, give me a week or so and I'll post some pictures of one.

Many thanks for the warning. Now I can relax with the knowledge that I won't stumble over your next bombastic, Industrial Light & Magic fantastic, knife photo unprepared. The pressure is off, for now...

I'll keep an eye out.

Very cool picture! Did you take that? I'm interested because my wife was a liscensed wildlife rehaber and she specialized in owls. Here's some pictures of the first clutch of Barn owls that she hatched (in an incubator) and raised to maturity. There were actually 6 of them in total.

It has nothing to do with knives, but I just had to share. :D

Outstanding Plum! What a wonderful experience to raise those large owls. Thank you for the story and the pictorial treat. You are all right.

Yes I did take that photo, just the other day (the camera flash creates the red eye).

And I had a terrific Buck B&C 486 clipped into my RF pocket at the time.

It is a tiny Western Screech Owl, about 8-9 inches tall, 12 feet up in a cedar tree near the Tualatin River in the nearby Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge (reclaimed from a dairy farm over the last decade).

Sidebar: I live in a house in a forest and go to sleep most nights while several resident very large melodic Great Horned Owls sing me a lullabye (Hoot, hoot and hoot etc).

A couple of the same shot at distance, in order to give some scale to the small owl and for your amusement:

Oregon & Dave,

Thanks for the owl photo's and the rich history that goes with each set. As an avid hunter I love any and all animal shots, it reminds me of when I get to enjoy the great outdoors with my family and friends.

Here is the only owl photo I have to share;) You can just see him soaring thru and over the stags!

oregon, those are great photos! Those are such little guys, my wife would have loved to care for some like that. She cared mostly for the barnies and a few Great Horned. I have ton's of photos she took, but I haven't scanned very many of them. One of the coolest birds she cared for was a young Golden eagle. Awesome creature.

John, that 500 is very cool. I have some of that series, but not the Snowy Owl. My wife would have snagged it for her owl collection!

Since we are on the subject of Hooter's, check this out but only if you are old enough!
