More Weekend Stupidity (2 Small Pics)

Satori, KM & Jeb - when you have your videos ready, please let me know. I'm ready to put them on a webpage on the H.I. website.

Please include a short write-up and make the video 2-3 MB or less.

Sound ok?

(I know this thread is old...but it reminded me that the video page needs to be done)

Leatherbird,

Chill.

If you're rolling around getting your feet wet, here are some tips. Dont attack Yvsa, we all adore the guy and he can be your best friend or your worst nightmare on here. I suggest you try to be his friend.

Please dont attack me. I said you were alright, and the replies being funny had nothing to do with you. Im not sure you meant to attack me, so no big deal.

Nobody is attacking you because of Shiva's knives, but this is the Himalayan Imports forum, and we have a less then positive opinion of the guy.

You can keep posting here, and I suggest that you do so.

Im glad you caught me on one of my relaxed, tolerant moments. Thank a fellow named Nasty.

Welcome to the Cantina! It can be a great place. Do you like khukuris?

Hey Bird! as Jeb says, "Chill." If you had been attacked you would have damned sure known it. :p
As Jeb said, "Nobody is attacking you because of Shiva's knives, but this is the Himalayan Imports forum, and we have a less then positive opinion of the guy."

I followed the thread where he was banned from these forums, not much of a guru if you ask me and from what I've heard tell of his knives is that they're damn sure not worth the cost because of the sloppy fit and finish on them. YMMV. :grumpy:

And you picked a helluva way to introduce yourself by bring up a month old thread with a post like this....

KM. If you add a few drops of red food coloring to water it shows up better on vids, and it looks like you know what.
Just not good netiquette.
You would've done better by opening your own thread and telling us who you are and if you like khukuris or not.
Or are you new to Internet Forums?
And we're not all about blood and guts although sometimes they are discussed, and cussed here.:D

Jeb, you're such a cool guy:) Well done, indeed, sir.

Leatherbird, please understand that we have had a very annoying troll plague the Cantina for about the b'zillionth time. Is that your fault? no, not in the least (unless you were that troll. which i am in no way shape or form implying). Please just try to understand that we're all on edge here yet again. This bastid of a troll really did Yvsa wrong so he is on the lookout...always;) However, what Jeb said is true about Yvsa. He is one of the most respected men in the cantina as well as all of bladeforums.com. Whether your age is 5 or 50 or 150 Yvsa can teach you a thing or two about knives and life and general. He's also a big enough man to know when someone can teach him a thing or two. Great guy. So, if this little episode hasn't left a real sour taste in your mouth, please, feel free to pull up a stool at the bar and let me buy ya a drink. The cantina is a great place filled with the best men and women you'll meet anywhere in the world. If it has left that bad of a taste in your mouth, then heartfelt happy trails to you as you find your place on the forums.
Thank you, Gentlemen.

Jake

not to hijack a thread that's been hijacked thrice over, but thanks to Yvsa's boost "I'm just really nice". who woulda thunk it? So thank you for bump up:) btw, Jeb, yeah ya are. I know cool. I wrote the book on cool. i'm a the Fonz eating an icecream sandwich while sittin' in a bucket of ice water....ok, i'm a big fat liar;)

When my 24 hours are up, you and Yvsa both are going to get some rep from me. And leatherbird too.

Got them all for you, but go ahead and get them again.

Dan - what kind of movies do you want? Surely not beercans being slaughtered...

Guys, No bad taste in my mouth, have a khukuri (cheapo),enjoy other edged weapons more.I know the SHIVA doesn't have the finish, you'll notice I didn't include fit, of a HOSSOM or a GRECO,but it does what it's asked. Yvsa, peaking my interest in khukuris!Could you recommend a good midpriced one? leatherbird.

Apology accepted.:)

Well Bird I'm sort of biased.;) I'd say if there are any extra 16-1/2" Foxy Follys that come in too jump on one of them, but they're on the high side at $150.00 each, but still a bargain at that price, helluva knife!!!!:D

The next best would be to try for a BGRS aka 17" Baby Ganga Ram Special.
I'm a pretty big guy although on the short side since I had 3 back surgeries but I still prefer the 16"-18" khukuris.:D
If you want something light, thin, a light weapon type khuk that's still capable of a good day's work then try for an 18" Chitlangi give or take an inch.
I don't have one this size but I do have a 21"+ that I absolutely Love and one of these days I might just luck out on an UBBB for an 17"-18" model!!!! :D
IMO the BGRS and the Chitlangi both cut like a much heavier khuk, a real plus when you're working hard with them!
