A few photos from this mornings hike.

Shattered showers made for a wet outing, but the overcast skies made the subtle shades of green come alive.

All the dogs got wet…

…Including the Big Dog.

Thanks for coming along.

Great shots, Big Mike! Looks like the dogs had a great time.

It's nice to see so much green. I think it will look like that in my neck of the woods in about a week.

How do you like that (beautiful!) hollow-ground Bark River for bushcraft tasks? I have been using a hollow ground woods knife for a while now, but they don't seem to be the norm these days.

Thanks for sharing,

All the best,

- Mike

Mike,

Great pics! What is the rig you are carrying there, got any more pics of that?

Great pics! Love to see that kind of greenery. Only a little while before that overtakes everything here as well. Thanks for sharing.

i love the river picks mike looks like it was up a bit there like it is here.

Big Mike - I love those first two shots. The one of the ferns is super sharp. Looks like a great walk!

Great shots Mike!

This rainy day crap is killing me. It feels like we had 2 clear days in the last 2 weeks.

Let me guess.where you were.. Lake Lillinona!

Eastre 77- Most of the reseviors here are over 100% capacity. We have had a butt load of precip in the last 6 months!

I like that unusual Hollow Ground Barkie (Blackwater Boot Knife II), it does have a great Convex Edge.

While not my first choice as a bushcrafter, I do carry it a field quite a bit, and have been very impressed by its performance.

It’s got a thick Hollow Ground blade made from Bohler N685 making it a very tough for tool that holds an edge well.

While not a dedicated bushcrafter, it has proven to be a great all-a-rounder.

like wise here in IN the river near me reached flood stage 4 yesterday the feild near it and all my fav camp sites are 10-12' under water. the only thrill about a river trip now would be the ocastional tree caseing after you paddle faster i hear banjo music:D

Yes it is a river (the Housatonic) as well as a Lake Lillinonah.

That is the Sharpshooter Sheath Systems Baldric Rig,

…Derrick’s got them at Knives Ship Free.

A carry mine, in one configuration or another, most everyday.
