Hey Bladeforum this is one of my Recently Completed 1K layered Mosaic Slicer.

Steel: 1095 and 15N20
Hardness: 59-60 HRC
Overall Length: 14 inches
Blade Length : 10 Inches
Handle : Turkish Walnut

Yes that's what I mean.
Would you be willing to disclose your process or starting stock dimensions? I've never seen a 1000 layer billet with such a bold pattern. In my experience, once you get over 500 layers, you start to lose the pattern. You must have started with either very thick pieces for them to remain so bold through the multiple re-stacks to get to 1000 layers, or did you start with a huge billet?

This Pattern is made up of 7 feather patterns by alternating them. Each feather pattern has about 150 Layers so when you add up all it goes over 1000 layers. Process of making this pattern is similar to that of feather just have 1 more step in which I forge all feather to get this pattern. Am I making any sense or not?

Makes sense, thanks for explaining. I had always counted the layers of the final billet before stacking and splitting. I wonder if there's a standard.
