Mosaic Damascus process question

Do not use white out, dumbest idea ever, just grind off the mild steel or use burnt heat treat foil between the tiles and the box.

So, I tried it all 3 ways. White out, st st foil wrap, and just the plain mild steel. Grinding off the mild steel after forging was easiest. The white out pieces came off easier than the stainless foil.
I will definitely do the stainless foil inside of my next can but this process of wrapping mosaic tiles is a bit different than a regular can.
