Full tang with a tapered tang. The blade has a distall taper.
Blade is 1/8" thick.

First "I"ll take it" here gets it. Also, e-mail me at lewisknives@carlsbadnm.com

That is a very handsome knife. To Quote Crucible: "CPM 154 is CPM-manufactured version of Crucible’s standard 154 CM."
I'll quibble with them about their grammar, but they do make it clear about the name of the steel being CPM 154.

Used African black wood on a couple of trout nets I made, stuff dulls a saw blade like nothing else!

Great knife with primo steel.I have one and I am thinking about another.

That's what I got for thinking.......the reason I now own 2 of Tom's beautiful mosaic handled knives.

I might not be done, either.

Nice offering Tom!

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. As far as what to call this steel, I bought it from Aldo and he calls it CPM 154CM. As long as he calls it by that name, I will also.

Beautiful knife Tom! As the proud owner of one of Tom's knives, I can say that his sheaths are as nice as his knives! Very fair price as well!
