the other thread was hard to find and i want to carry on askin questions about it. i was reading about syringes used go to any veteranary suppy shop peavey mart and but the large syringes for cattle they will push epoxy like easy get a long needle that will help with injecting deep inside the tube. now im new so where in the heck can i find all the material to make mosaic pin and mosaic tubes. i also want to know about adding ink to the epoxy will it smear onto my maple handles if it does what do i use to darken the epoxy. where can io find the small brass square tubes and stuff like that.lets hear some other methods to make mosaic pins. kellyw

sorry i no sooner make the new thread and the old one shows up oh well way to much SUCKING ON EPOXY OVER THERE lol

Realistically, if you just want one pin you are better off buying it than spending a half day chasing parts and another half day making it.

gene i have a small obsesive compulsive disorder last week i decided to start making knives i read 4 books and watched 20 video on how to make knives ,forges how to temper and so on the 5 th day ive made a solid work bench 18 in by 4 ft my boys got me a tablr belt sander/disc sander and a lazer drill press i has another grinder and today already made 1 knife not finished but the blade is sharp enough to shave with but i need to polish with 1000 grit to make it nice. im not happy with several things but ill get better . i need a jig for grinding so my angles are better i believe im very close to being even looking at my work under 10 x magnifacation .I think i should be able to make 3 nice knives a week and after a while maybee more depends how crazy i get. I will need a good variety of pins and would rather make them myself if its posible. will the ink bleed into my maple handle what type of black ink do i use like plain ink from my computer or what??? finding pins will be tuff i live in no where saskatchewan canada with the closest hobby store 50 miles away.paying 30 dollars plus 10 dollars shipping for 1 12 inch pin is way to out of line i would make my own fancy mosaic pinsfor im sure only a fraction of the price.finding cheap or even reasonable places to purchase is always one of the hardest things when your starting out. thanks and anyone else please any help is welcome. kellyw
