Finished this up last night, the blade is W patern which is easy to see, I accordian cut the billet to expose the pattern then recubed and rewelded the cut pieces, then cut and turned tha inside out and rewelded and flattened for the hardware. Blade length is 4 1/2" OAL 9". I added a little pin work, just to break up the African Blackwood handle.

What do you think?

Thanks for lookin

Bill

That's a really pretty knife, Bill. Great steel. Tasteful pin work.

Wow Bill!...the navajo people weave a pattern in there rugs that they call eyedazzle and that is what this reminds me of...I really like what you have done...thanks for showing it! Bill A.

Nice pattern in the damascus. I particularly like the matching guard and butt. The wood also goes well with the dark tones in the damascus.

The pin work adds a nice little extra something. It's not too obtrusive, and shows a little extra care went into things. It might have been nice to make the pin pattern reflect the strong swirls in the wood, but that's just a minor suggestion - right now I don't have a clear idea in my head how to accomplish that.

Really appealing knife with very well-balanced aesthetics. I bet she cuts, too!

Bill, I always liked W damascus. It looks even better in the mosaic! I had to go back a few times to take a better look at the knife. Good to see your work again........ Nice piece of blackwood.

Wow looks great. It took me a sec to understand what you were talking about, but then I looked at the pic:) The inside out two bar hardware was a great idea. Also very well done.

That's real nice! Great play with the two different treatments of the damascus pattern and a lovely piece of blackwood.

Thanks everyone for all the great comments, I've had that piece of Blackwood for about 5 yrs. sure wish I had more, it was well aged.

Thank you.

Bill

Beautiful work, love the flow of the knife and the fittings. The pin work is a neat touch.

Yep Don I'll be there if the weather isn't so bad I can't. I have a feller thats suppose to deliver a surface grinder to me from the east coast at the show, so I might need yours and several others help to get it from his truck to mine, its suppose to be old and heavy.

Thanks guys,

Bill
