Blade is ATS-34 steel heat treated by Paul Bos to a RC 59-60.
The knife has a tapered tang and distal taper.
Guard is 416 stainless steel.
Decorative pins are stainless steel.
Handle is Mosaic yellow heart and ebony wood. As far as I know, I am the only knifemaker making mosaic handles like this. One of my handles appears in KNIVES 2011 pg. 93. I have never seen another knife by another knifemaker with a handle like this.
The Knife comes with a 7-8 oz. leather tooled sheath.
Price is $240.00. This includes priority first class mail with insurance and delivery confirmation at the U.S. Post Office.
Payment by U.S. Postal Money order or Personal check with time to clear.
First e-mail to me gets the knife.
This is my first knife put up for sale on this forum. You are welcome to read my profile to find out my background.
Customer satisfaction is my goal.

Thanks for the nice comments and warm welcome to this site. To try to answer some questions about mosaic handles, there are 71 pieces of wood in this mosaic block.
The pieces in this block are sycamore wood and African black wood.
The pieces go all the way through the block. They are cut precisely to fit together and are glued using Titebond II. Titebond II is a waterproof wood glue. It is amazing. I have glued a 1" block to a 1" block and when dry, I can't break them apart with my fingers. The glue joint is stronger than the wood.
After gluing the block together I stabilize it using Resinol 90C.
Even though the block is made up of a lot of pieces they are as solid as any piece of wood. I have made these for several years with no problems with the handle warping, splitting, cracking, etc. A person would need to use a wood chisel to break a piece off.
