Coop, this is all walrus ivory and I've used a good bit since this picture was taken. I keep my old white ivory (like used on 'Sinistre') in another pile and my mammoth ivory in a couple large buckets![]()

I must tell you that the ivory handle of Montejano's knife is NOT colored. It's natural![]()

If I am not mistaken, what Senor Montejano does is rather more like acid etching than engraving. Aqua Forte is an etching process. I find it beautiful, buts its not really engraving (or is it?)In addition, in my opinion he's one of the most talented engravers in the world today.
