MOST durable, quality gentleman folder UNDER $150.00?

In my part of the world, a gentleman carries a slip joint or simple lock back. The EKA-line has several nice folders in good steel with wood handles such as the Swede 8 in bubinga. For the more practical gentleman concerned with steel, perhaps the aforementioned Fällkniven U2?

And, of course, you can never go wrong with a Swiss Army Knife. The Spartan should fit the bill.

[As a small passus one could discuss the fact that "gentleman" means "man who does not work"=landed gentry. Thus, if you need a knife to do actual work, can it be a gentlemans knife?]

Gentleman's knife for $150 or under.

Check out some of the Moki lockbacks. Not the one's Moki makes for others, but the one's with their name on it.
The one I bought last year was made as well as any custom I've had/have. A real bargin IMO.

My Uncle owns an Aluminium Handled Jimmy Lile gents folders made of 440c steel. Cost him $150. Not bad. But for some reason.people look down on 440c these days ( even though master knife makes like Jimmy Lile and Robert Parish always used 440c

Small Sebenza.

Wait a minute! A Small Sebenza costs more than $150.00, doesn't it? Yes it does. But here's how I look at it.

If I'm going to buy a product that I expect to last me 10 to 15 years or more, I'm not going to scrimp on it. I'm going to buy a product that's known for it's quality and dependability . . . one I'll be just as proud to own 10 to 15 years from now as I am today . . . one that won't go out of style . . . a true classic! That way I'll never have to second-guess myself about whether I should have bought the best from the outset. I'll already own it.

Uh, Gayle Bradley?

Pretty hefty and large for a gentleman's knife.
How about the Kershaw Gentleman's knife? The fit and finish on mine is amazing. Half of your budget and Japanese VG-10. Full brass liners but not very heavy.

Any half decent knife that isn't oversharpened or abused should easily last 10 years if basic maintenance is performed. I've seen $25 plastic handled SAKs last longer than 15 years.

True. For me, it's a matter of what I want to pull out of my pocket 10 to 15 years from now and still be able to say "WOW" to. Knives may come and knives may go, but "WOW" is priceless.
