Most Expensive EDC

There is another thread regarding $6,000 folders.

So here goes, what is your most expensive EDC that you actually carry on a regular basis?

Mine is a large classic Sebenza that I paid $225.00 for.

I don't carry any of my customs.

I paid $30 for my Buck 110 and the same for my Spyderco Rescue. I've paid $150 a couple of times for fixed blades but those aren't EDC.

Nothing too rich yet...right now my most expensive would be my Large Classic Sebenza (about $220), but it will soon be my Trace Rinaldi Enigma ($250).

Nothing expensive for my EDC
$65 Leatherman Wave (bought before I looked on ebay :( )
$25 Buck 701

The most expensive knife that I carry with any regularity is a double lockback moose that I bought directly from P.J. Tomes for $665. In all honesty, I cannot bring myself to actually use this knife very hard at all.

I had it in my head that $500 was "it" -- the most I'd spend on an EDC, and the amount I could get a kick-butt EDC for.

So I bought a TnT -- actually, I bought a bunch of TnT's.

But I finally whittled my collection down to one. A small, Devon Thomas damascus.

The only problem now, is that TnT's have really risen in price, so I quit carrying it.

:-(

I carry a Mad Dog Pack Rat (around $400.00) daily, but the most expensive knife I ever carried was an Emerson CQC6.

Michael,
The price you paid for it hasn't changed. Enjoy the knife -- that's why you bought it.

To get this thread back on track after being guilty of derailing it:
AT Barr gents folder with black lip pearl scales -- $650. It's my work carry, so it doesn't get used hard (I have a "suit" job), but it does get used on a regular basis. When I'm not at work, my EDC is a Mayo TNT that set me back $550.

I carry all of my customs, with the exception of a Jot Khalsa folder that's just too pretty to use (Eggerling mosaic blade and bolsters) and a Frank Centofante folder that I bought as a user and will carry someday -- just haven't found the right occasion, yet.

Mike

The cf is for carbon fiber and m2 is the blade steel. The actual Benchmade designation is 705BC1HSCF ( i think) here is a pic of mine

My LCC/DA cost me $200 used, and then I added $200 worth of customizing on it so $400 total. And to think I used to have trouble using a hundred dollar knife.

Other than a large, plain Sebbie, I have regularly carried a Darrel Ralph custom EDC that I won here almost 2 years ago in a contest. It's a 3.5" beauty with rainbow-anondized handles (Ti).

Not only was winning the knife an unexpected surprise, but also introducing me to it's creator was an even more gratifying experience. Darrel is one of the finest gentlemen I've run into in the knife industry.

$200 Strider MFS. Every few days I go demolish a few cardboard boxes and chunks of wood to prove to myself that I need a "high speed knife for hardcore individuals". It also serves as a hammer when I'm not at home. I rarely use it in public though, since I'd rather not cause a stampede of people yelling, "HE'S GOT A HUGE BOWIE KNIFE!"

I'd like to meet Darrel Ralph in person some day. Remind me not to bring credit cards...

Nice picture of #100. The most I paid for a knife was $300 for my Keith Coleman custom folder. I have been carrying one of my Benchmade Forum knives, but right now it is back in Angieland getting bronze washers installed. I love BOTH of my Forum knives.

Currently my most expensive EDC is my $175 Dozier Straight Personal. I carry it every day. I'm considering adding a DDR balisong that I recently got to the list. I got it second hand for $350, but retail on it was probably about $500. Not sure if I can bring myself to carry it or not yet.

Not the most expensive that I own, but the two most expensive customs that I use daily are my DDR Bullnose Mad Maxx ($500) and a De Villiers Mini Operator ($450) that was my last trade with Gadi. I never really use the De Villiers, but carry it because I know Gadi would've been irritated to know it was just sitting in a drawer.
