most expensive knife you have ever purchased?

Probably a Microtech UMS or Benchmade 9130. I did pick up Benchmade AFO for $60 and a Microtech UTX-70 for $120. They were both mismarked at a gun store that was going out of business.:D

Very recently, I bought my most expensive knife until now: a Klotzli Walker 05, of which one variant with brown wood handles on sale at a good price in the UK was now finally irresistible thanks to the splendid (for me) british pound/euro exchange ratio, around 188 euro. It is indeed truly lovely with a titanium handle and liner. Klotzli are considered on CRK level when it comes to precision machining. I would indeed situate this knife somewhere between a Sebbie and a Mnandi:

Fällkniven TK5, paid almost 400 Euros for the knife (around 530 USD), but it was not a penny too much. I am about to order the new NMSFNO. Probably with the Handshaped Magnum handle. That one will cost me about 400 Euros too including taxes. And no, my wife won't understand how someone can spend so much on a piece of steel.

And something knife-ish too: I once bought a full kendo armor (bogu) for nearly 1000 Euros. I remember that I was saving for almost 6 months and needed another 3 months to get my finances right.. I really shouldn't think about those things, I really shouldn't..
