FWIW, I used to own a few knives that cost more, but I sold them all.

(1) Swamp Rat Rodent Waki, if that counts as a "knife". it actually does see every day carry, but in the car not on my person.

(2) Benchmade 42. i carry two or three BM's, daily, the 42 is the priciest.

My most expensive knife is the Busse FSH SE, which is too heavy and bulky to be used anyway.

My most expensive EDC is Bradley Alias 1, although I am about to get myself a Large Sebenza... when I got the money.

I have yet to break the two C-note barrier on any kind of knife. My most expensive knife is likely my custom Buck 110 in teardrop Damascus, with a number of other custom 110s up there, too. Also, I have a new Buck 172 TNT - a bunch of BMs - and a Kershaw that was 'up there'. They share a common home - a free-standing vertical commercial display case my wife's collectibles outgrew. It makes selecting which one to carry for the day easier. While the big buck and newer knives usually get their own pocket to be the solitary occupant, they all get carried and used... as well as looked at quite a bit.

My most expensive EDC is probably this Menefee swayback:

This Steigerwalt dagger is currently my most pricey case queen, but I've owned quite a few 'art automatics' over the years that were more costly:

Mine is a 9" Burn swinger. I paid Paul $100 a month for 9 months. If I'm around the house, I carry and use it.

My EDC's are a heavily modded ZT300 and a Gen2 LCC D/A.
