However... The Tiger Bowie is destined for use once I get a nice leather sheath for it to ride in. And when it does, it will become my new most expensive user.

Uncle J for some reason every time you post a pic of a nick being used I just grin. It just seems so unassuming. I really need to get one. I would love to pull that out at camp and have all the stares as I chopped down a tree with a kitchen knife!

Trust me, I feel the same way dude...
I first brought the nick out to the woods not expecting too much but It quickly became one of my all time favorite choppers.. Its light compared to the fsh or fbm and that zero edge destroys trees..Seriously I think it chop more efficently than my FFBM. Its very blade heavy so it really does not take much effort to chop stuff.. I don't see many others using the nick for camp use.. don't know why...

for me it was the handle + potential torquing issues. the 3rd gen handles are really smooth, and very round. combined with the really tall blade and it's edge being way below the line of the fingers, it seemed like it would torque around in your hand a lot during chopping. probably not the case at all, but thats what it seemed like when I had mine...

Thank you Jaxx, it was a pleasure getting to show it off :D

.......... and finally getting to meet you in person

I think that the most commonly used High Dollar Busse knives are all those early knives that the people who own them, got them as beaters and do not follow the price increases.

My So called High $$ Beater is a One of Three Hundred Straight handled Battle Mistress that I bought for resale maybe 8 years ago, then used when asked to compare a bunch of knives for a Customer that wanted my opinion where His knives fitted in as Choppers.

This particular knife also came with a left handed, High Dessert Lowride sheath that makes it handy because I like to keep a .45 ACP on my right side.

I remember a few months ago, out here in the Woods where I am currently living, Tossing the knife at a tree with My Daddy In-law and having ir bounce off of the tree and skitter on some rocks on the rebound.

After maybe the third time this happened I mentioneed to him the value of the knife and he was unwilling to continue.

While I do search for a cheaper replacement Big Beater this one for the last 8 years or so remains the one that feels best in my hand of the INFI knives so far.

I remember when any shiny Busse was unusual and commented on.

Busse was known as a maker of strong knives.

I remember Jerry telling me that people did not buy his knives for the finish.

How times have changed.

The FBMP is HANDS DOWN the BEST FACTORY unbanned Chopper EVER produced! It is like a light saber, I HIGHLY recommend one to anyone who is looking for the sweetest blade ever made in limited numbers!

Yes!!!! If I ever trade anything in my current lineup it would go toward a Blue/Black g10 Proto... I have always wanted one since it was released.. :grumpy:

Here's my EU-17 regular #2. It wasn't nearly as expensive as some of the old stuff in this thread but It'll get there. With its full height grind it is quite nimble.

I guess my most expensive user is this FFBM that I use for chopping and splitting wood. I like it better than my camp axe for this chore.

Or maybe it is this one. I don't remember which one cost more.
