What would be your most and least favorite ad banner here on Bladeforums?

My most favorite: Darryl Ralph Designs
My least favorite: 1SKS "Sifu" Picture

Do you have a favorite or one you're sick of seeing?

I hate banner ads, but I do agree that the one for Darryl Ralph has some sweet looking knives. I try to avoid looking at it because I don't have any $ for knives right now.:(

I like the ones that show some of the ones I own, especially the CRKT Ryan Model 7, and the Camilus EDC. Least fav is that ugly spike looking auto thing, haven't even paid attention to it's name.
 
Quiet Priest, are you kidding?

The animated ad by 2thehilt for a Microtech Halo is one of the only banner ads I have seen which is interesting!

I don't even notice static ads.
 
The coolest is Darrel Ralph's
The one I'm tired of is Gigand's ad with the colour changing Spectrums.

Clear first place favorite has got to be Darrel Ralph's!
BEAUTIFUL pics, and such great shots that my mouth waters.

Least favorite for me is Koval's. Totally uninspired and about as interesting as dry paint.
(sorry Koval, I call'em like I see'em)
In the interest of fairness, if someone from Koval's reads this, I'm more than willing to offer a little free advice on how to snazz it up.

Darrel Ralph's banner is truly awesome! It has absolutely elegant images - but then again, how could you go wrong with knives like those?
 
The only way Darrel Ralph's ads could be any cooler is if they had some naked chicks in them.
 
Another vote for Darrel Ralph's ad. I LOVE that arclite with the CF scales. NICE...

My thoughts exactly.
There's only one other thing in the world with better curves than a Darrel Ralph knife...
Whoever took those pics of his knives is really good.
 
I know this is a little off topic but I think it would be nice if Spark would create a place where we could go see all of the current banner ads.

There are many times when I catch an ad out of the corner of my eye that I'd like to visit, but I've already clicked on the next link so I miss it. Then I have to hope it shows up again while I'm on.
 
The campingzone banner I just saw was really lackluster.
DDR's banners are dangerous-no telling what extended exposure to those ads could cost you!(yeah, they're my favorite, too)
I really don't pay attention to the banners most of the time, though.
 
I'll go along with the flock. Darrel's ads always catch my eye. I don't think I have a least favorite, but I'll pay more attention and edit it in if I find I have one.

Reason that microtech ad doesn't work for me is I'm a photographer and like a photographically interesting ad. The Microtech blade ad I don't think is photographed that well regarding angle, color, detail, contrast, etc. The Darrel Ralphs are intended to be attractive. Incidentally, I got into blades through photography, I liked the challenge of an object with different surfaces, texutures, colors, and reflectances. A maker I started working for further pointed out things like highlighting the edges, different bevels and depths of a piece. So, there began my addiction...
 
Thanx for the compliments about the Darrel Ralph Design Banners....

They were separate banners that were combined to create one (as an animation) and it came out really nice.

I really enjoyed taking those pics!:D

And the knives were shipped from all over the country from current owners, not direct from Darrel...
