Most Hated Knife On Blade Fouums

I dislike any Gerber china imported folder as well as any crkt or any other brand with pathetic teflon washers which are pure junk!

Okay, I've read this before a number of times. Can someone briefly tell
me about the convicted felon thing is all about?

Meanwhile, here's my entry for a hated knife. I got one to play with
and it sure is purty. I'm going to try to baton it in a few weeks. I expect
it to do quite well. (BTW, how do I get the blade back in the handle?)

My daughter and I each had one of those. They were giving them away at my DNL's Saladmaster party. We kept them for a decent period of time to aviod hurt feelings, then gave them to a church youth group gargage sale.:D

Is Cliff going to join you:D

Smith and wesson knives are universally viewed as high quality examples of the cutlers art, or maybe not.

I have a few customs that use teflon washers, I guess they are junk too?

Sounds Ghey................................:D

The Gil Hibbens fantasy knives are the ones I dislike the most. Odd that there still seems to be a market for these things.

I hear that, it seems the fantasy knives market has been going into overdrive with G.H efforts

I guess. I've heard some people criticize teflon washers, but again, a lot of people here just ejaculate these things without any explanation.

Many people have carried and used CRKTs and other knives with teflon bearings for years without any problems.

I'm more apathetic to them. I've got a Rambo III that I got a long time ago, when I had more dollars than sense. Still, it's a big, formidible slab of polished 420J2 with a fairly comfortable handle. Don't know how good the heat treat is, but it is usable.

You mean you really don't know?
Nope. Heard lots of references to it. I can deduce that Mick Strider is the "ex-con" and that there's no love lost between him and Lynn Thompson, but as to why, I don't know. I know Strider produces a tanto knife that LT apparently stole, and that he's underselling Strider by big bucks.

Also, that LT thinks Strider was ripping people off with his (Strider's) knife...so he showed it could be made and sold for much less. Strider also was accused of bad-mouthing a Navy Seal? And that he cheated the Army? That's where it all gets cloudy.

What's with all the complaints I have heard about AUS-8? I like it. It's what the blade of my SOG Spec-Elite Two is made of, and I can get it shaving sharp, then use it a lot before it gets dull.
And in my opinion, though I don't own one, the Pendleton Hunter looks like a decent knife.

Anyone who tells you Aus 8 is crappy steel does not know what they are talking about.

As far as most hated single knife, who knows - some Frost sawblade was pictured a while back, really hideous.

On a larger scale, the sheeple dislike any knife over two inches that's not traditional, so the most commonly hated blades in that regard would be Benchmade or Spyderco. They both rank well with their strange styles, wedge grinds, serrations, and tactical coloring, plus all the whip it out users who boast about shocking their coworkers or strangers. After all, they aren't brass and bone slipjoints like granpa carries.

So for total negative impact, it's probably the most popular knives.

I have to say that Dark Ops 911 Interceptor or somesuch is a pretty ridiculous knife. I don't know how hated it is here, but it's hard to imagine it garnering much of a fan base.

My guess would be the Home Shopping Network "custom" knives selection.
