Most indestructible folder you can think of to take on infantry deployment?

Assuming that a quality multi-tool will be issued, I'd go to Buck's web specials page and pick up a BuckLite III for $18 and then spend the difference on beer. Not joking.

If your in the military you can pick up a Strider SNG for a little over $200 rather than $400. They are as tough as they come for folder. Watch the field use tests of the Strider sng on youtube from GunSmoke16610, it is 4 part video.

Where does one find this military pricing you speak of?

Good multitool I.E. Leatherman wave, any of the knives on your list will work for a " rock " knife (beating/prying rocks). The multitool is the one you'll really use...

Any Triad lock CS folder,I like the Voyagers, and a good multi tool and you would be set.I'd get 2 Voyagers, one large and 1 extra large.

True that a multi tool will get used a lot. But I don't think I've ever used the blade on mine in the field. So suggesting that a multi tool can supplant a pocket knife is crazy talk to me.

And if I was beating or prying rocks, I'd definitely use the multi tool. Not vice versa.

What do you guys think of the DPX2.0 vs Benchmade 275? I know it isn't out yet but sure seems cool.

On a certain Benchmade specific forum, (why the heck don't they have a forum on BFC?) Sibert mentioned that they designed the Axis lock on the 275 to be 25% stronger... That must put that particular implementation of the Axis Lock as being d@mn near the strongest lock on a folding knife. (Which isn't to knock any other manufacturer or their work!)

Cold Steel recon 1, well under your budget and tough as nails.

This would be my choice as well. Unbelievably tough, holds a great edge, and sharpens back up with ease to a hair popping edge! What more can a person ask for in a folding knife and all this for around the $60.00 price range?
