Like the title says, what is a knife that you want to see bought and used by me. Something that nobody sees being used often or maybe a knife that's controversial for whatever reason.

I was wondering how well it would work to take a victorinox Hunter Pro knife and turn it into a skandi grind by just sharpening the existing grind on the knife.

"its stainless steel blade is capable of cutting through skin through its sharp edges "

From the tactilol thread :D

You could always show off one of those stupid swastika nazi (by way of China) knives that knife dealers are always selling.

I'd love to see the Rockstead Sinkevich collaboration put through the paces.

Please excuse my spelling of Mr. S.

..Unless that's how it's spelt.

Some of those are hilarious lol

The Sinkevich is a good choice but a little above my price range. Let's try $600 and below and see what happens. I had a Medford Praetorian in mind. They get so much hate.

For me, most interesting would be something different like say a cheap Okapi or (at the medium end) a good Lagioule.

That's something I'm very interested in.. maybe you should get a Praetorian, go in the woods, and really beat the crap out of it and see how it holds up. See how "hard use" it really is!

Something I actaully do want to see used is one of these "Nagao Higonokami Friction Folder Brass (2.875" Shirogami) HIGO 14BR". In shirogami and compared to aogami.

I wanna see you use the MT jagdkommando. Crazy looking knife, a bit tactilol, but interested in hearing ftom anyone owning one and what they think.

2nd on the Riddick knife, and that Jagdkommando is a vicious looking sticker... How about spending a couple days in the woods with only this?

To be fair, there's already been a thread on Medford usage. Maybe try for one of their other models?

I say go for it. :)
Use it for everything though, not just "hard use" tasks.

Everything from food pre to regular EDC uses, to using it in the woods.

Or, you could go into the woods and attempt to build and start a fire using only a Vic Farmer and a new Bic lighter. Apparently no one here has been foolhardy enough to try it before.

Actually, when my brother lived in England for a year, the old, original Swiss Army Knife was the only knife he carried there.
The saw on it along with a Bic lighter made fires quite nicely.

Apparently there was a bus that took you right near a place that camping could be done, and no one minded fires as long as you didn't burn the place down. Restocking the wood pile was appreciated too.

He did find that he really, REALLY appreciated having better tools for the task once back in Cananda though. :)
A larger saw and a large, stout knife make things much easier than only using the saw on a SAK. :D

It certainly was sufficient though.

And he didn't baton?!? He's lucky to have survived.

And how did he not lose the lighter?!?
