Well, it was obviously designed to be used by farm hands, ranchers, and sheep herders.


How do I know??


Simple - just replace the "F" in Sus Scrofa with a "T" and you will figure out what the knife was designed to slice.

After the amount of orders that came through on the ASH1. I'll place my bets on it has the actual most sales of a production knife that came from Busse combat.
plus it was up for over a year. back in the day, not to many people had heard of Busse, but it is now the ultimate in survival, combat, collectable knife. I think the ASH 1 is a great knife that has the look of the original line, but the steel and handle options that represent the New Busse concept of marketing.
I think if it came back though, the Steel heart II or Fusion steel heart would have as many orders... maybe.

I like my Scrofie. I have no idea how I will go about sharpening it if it ever goes dull, though. Hawkbills and recurves are outside of my skill set.

All I use now to sharpen my Busses are w/d sandpaper and a buffer.
