I was wondering what has been most popular folder has been last 5-10 yrs

From Benchmade I would guess the 710 or the Griptilian series
My favorite is the 940 though:)

Sought after as in rare and desirable? Right now, the 42. Sought after as in best-selling? The Griptilian or Minigrip.

If you mean their most liked models, there's also the 710, 94x, 950, and AFCK.

If we're defining popularity in terms of sales numbers, I'd be surprised if it wasn't one of the Griptilian models. They're probably the most widely available of any Benchmade, and their relatively low price puts them in the range of what non-knife nuts would be willing to pay for a knife, meaning a substantially larger base of potential customers.

I would say based on quality & demand ...
I think disco models like AFCK & Rukus are still in demand

Any others ?
Grips would be best sellers for sure
710 seems to be an Icon.

On the collector's market, I'd say the old Benchmade/Emerson 975 is very sought after. Then next would be the 750 Pinnacle.

For me, the models I like the most probably have nothing to do with popularity. I like the 710, and AFCK the best, both in M2 steel. The 710 in particular is one of the most recommended knives in any brand and matches up well with any production knife made IMO.

Lately it seems the most sought after knives have been the Skirmish and Rukus here on the forums.

I seem to hear about the 42 more than everything else. it is a beautiful knife, very well made, and very well loved, making one of the most desired knives every made.

While I would love to get my hands on the Gold Class mini-AFCK, the price tag and lack of practicality(damascus VS say, M390) turns me away.

My favorite one thus far however is the 581 Barrage as the fit and finish is the best I've ever had from Benchmade thus far.

The most sought out bm has to be the 42. For all the wrong reasons and kickass has nothing to do with it.

Must be the 42. I should have bought a boatload of them when Amazon had them on sale for $99 a few years back. The appreciation would have offset my 401k losses in the past couple of years! :)

afck

speaking of which there happens to be a limited edition on preorder somewhere....

i may or may not have paid my deposit :D
