Most uncomfortable knife?

i actually got blisters on my hand from the sharp handle edges and clip when i used my BM 705 to break down a BUNCH of thick cardboard boxes in which some of my girlfriend's furniture was packaged in when she bought it. i was VERY dissapointed! a few weeks later, with new and even softer skin, i used my CRK Mnandi to break down some more of the same boxes (she had just moved so things were still arriving on the delivery trucks) and had ZERO discomfort. i now have the 705 in the car glove box for whatever car emergency imight have. VERY unhappy with it due to the handle. the Mnandi on the other hand (sic) is fantastic in EVERY whay (it also didn't get nearly as dull as the 705 did). i may have to add another CRK folder to my keep. i am thinking of an Umfaan. if only i could find SOMEONE to put a clip on it for me...

Not uncomfortable to carry but uncomfortable to hold. The handle is too thin, too wide, and too textured. I never had a change to discover the awesome edgeholding because the handle was so uncomfortable. I sold it.

Spyderco Jot Sign (sp?) Khalsa. Kinda cool, but the handle had too many sharp edges and the cutouts were apparently fitted to a rather small hand. BTW, I'd like to hear more comments on the LCC. Though I've never handled one, it's definitely #1 on my short list of desirables. These are the first negatives I've seen.

If carrying knives in your front pockets causes so much discomfort, why don't you just carry them in back?

Maybe I'm kinda oldfashioned (only 34 years), but I never wear jeans. The (suit style) pants are much more comfortable, especially in the summer, and the pockets are situated differently. A pair of good suspenders and one or two sizes too wide a pants lets you sit comfortably all day (I'm a software developer).
The only knife I've found to be uncomfortable are CRKT M/16 02Z, because of its rough edges.

The only knives I've owned that I couldn't stand the clips on. I took the clip off my Sifu immediately because it killed my hand, now I carry it in a Sastre concealex belt sheath and couldn't be happier. The clip on my Carnivour Cub killed my hand as well, it's on loan to a friend right now. The knives are comfortable without the clips, though.

CRKT Viele. I sure thought I wanted one, so my wife bought me one for Christmas. I like the looks and the blade shape, but the ergonomics, or lack thereof, make it an almost never-carry.

I second the SIFU listing. Love the knife, but how to carry? Backpack is my vote.

I also gave up on carrying the stockman folder pattern because it 1. was uncomfortable to use due to the sheepsfoot sticking up so far, and
2. ate my pants pockets in a big way. Too bad! My dad gave me my first stockman when I graduated high school, and I have some very pretty ones.

it is subjective I guess, there was something about that knife that just didn't do it for my hand.

I have to say that the kasper fighter is a refined version of that knife and I think I would love it and I bet that knife has better balance.

I went for the cqc because it was about $90 cheaper.

but getting the cqc made me understand what bob kasper did to modify the cqc.

sorry for the delay in responding

The original AFCK. When I hold it the clip digs into my hand. Otherwise I love the design. I'm hoping I wont have the problem with the axis AFCK I want to get.

I have a really limited knife experience, but of all mine so far, the most uncomfortable for carry:

MOD CQD MkII.

I carry in the left-rear, and man... that pointy carbide tip... when you sit down, it sometimes digs in. Also, it's so wide that sometimes when I shift around, it'll push on parts of my rear I didn't know I had.

Not to mention, it has a voracious appetite for jeans. Sheesh. Almost worse than the Buck Strider pattern G10.

I can't carry it anymore... I wish I liked this baby more, since it has a bunch of cool features, an amazing lock, and fits my hand perfectly, but it's just not practical for me as an EDC.

This is in contrast to the most comfortable, an Emerson Mini CQC7. Barely ever knew it was there. A shame, since I couldn't stand the chisel grind on it.

Yeah, I'm kind of on the small side.

I love the looks of the knife and the shape of the blade but the handle is too short. I don't have large hands but my little finger just can't seem to get a comfortable grip. I gotta agree about the small CRKT Wasp. Pretty knife but uncomfortable.

The old Benchmade Boguszewski Spike is a real bitch to carry and use. Squared corners and edges on a metal handle. Scratched the hell out of my car brushing against it. Also, the long blade with a delicate, pointy tip was tough to use well except for cutting stuff out of the newspaper.

Interesting to read the coments about the LCC. I have been lusting after one for a while, but I have not handled one yet.

I don't carry my Sifu in the back, as I don't care to sit (or fall) on my knife, and I don't want it to catch on something that I may not notice (loss).

However, removing the clip, and going to a "kydex/concealex" IWB sheath is starting to sound like a good idea. (If anyone has the URL to Mike Sastres' web-site, please email it to me, as I think I need to "talk" with him 'bout a left-hand, IWB, point-up sheath for my Sifu!.:).).
