Well I've seen and participated in threads for the worst, for the best and for peoples favorite and I've got a new one...the most under-rated. These should be cheaper knives that people just totally overlook, but that perform outstandingly. My example is the Meyerco Blackie Collins Tanto with G10 scales and titanium liners. This is a great little work knife. I've had one for about three years and have put it through absolute hell and it just keeps right on going. When I first got it I thought the liners were a bit thin but haven't had a bit of problem with them. But even though the MSRP is almost $100 people that deal in them can't give them away for $25.

So lets see what other under appreciated knives are out there...

As a matter of fact, if there's any interest I might even do a pass-around with the Meyerco.

My CRKT Apache 7011LE has never let me down, even though I have knives that cost 5 or 6 times as much.

My vote goes to the various inexpensive Mora knives. Very sharp, easy to resharpen, functional. Does what a knife is supposed to do.

Outdoor Edge Magna

I concur. The Magna is very underrated.

Moras, Schrade slip joints, Kershaw Vapor and II. I think many knives get overlooked because there is just too many choices.

I agree...I think people see all the choices out there and to save time make an assumption that if the knife doesn't cost an arm and a leg that it won't perform well. And unfortunately a lot of the time they're right but there are some real winners out there that fall through the cracks.

Camillus Cuda with the Quik-Action opening mechanism. These (almost switch blades) are strong, fast, well made and underappreciated!

BM180 Outbounder. You don't hear to much about this knife but it's a really nice fixed blade. The 440c blade cuts about as well as any of my knives and the overall design is very nice, even has a tapered tang. The handle could be a bit larger but a lanyard helps in this respect.

What model of Meyerco is that Blackie Collins Tanto? LB or LL?

I love cheap knives that work!

I think the Kershaw Ken Onions are great knives for the price!

Joe Shmoe

Outdoor Edge Magna, Timberline Woden, CRKT products M-16.
I have found that the above knives made in Taiwan are quality
products. The fact that they are as inexpensive as they are astounds me. They are very well built although HEAVY.
Gave a great day,

How in the world can you classify a Sebenza as an under-rated knife? Is Chris Reeves opening a shop in Taiwan and selling them for under $50?

I have a CRKT Urban Shark that is a great little knife.

Also the Cold steel Bushman and Mini Bushman. Get a bit better sheath and those things are hard to kill.
Ugly, funcyional, sharpen it on a rock. Cut stuff.

GRRRRR!!!
