Most Underated Knife ?

Iam going with the first poster here ...........LOL
Most knives mentioned have been discontinued (come and gone) The 943 has been around a long time and hasnt been LE,d too much.
The 940 has had lots of LE,s made , I suppose its more popular , but the 943 is it for me............. I hope BM reads there forum here.

The only knife I ever sent to Benchmade that they couldn't fix, was a 670 with a faulty lock; when asked for another choice they offered and built me a plain edge satin 913D2 which remains one of my favorites. That was a good choice and more than a fair exchange!

 that's exactly right.

I really like the 910 design and execution but I just couldn't warm up to the nitrous version (912/913).

Took me a minute too, but the slim handle, handle to blade ratio, and the overallpackage was awesome. Yu know, I still to this day cannot get any lock rock or blade play out of my 2 Strykers? It blew me away, seriously. That was a big reason for me dedicating so much pocket time. The tanto is just amazing as well.

Now that I think about it, although I never had one,, it wasn't until it was discontinued that I realized I really wanted one and that is the 425 Gravitator.

Didn't used to hear much about it either but I think it's an awesome knife from the looks of it. Hopefully one day I can get hold of one..

It's funny how a knife doesn't show up on the interest radar until it's long-gone! And then we HAVE to have it. I guess that makes a few of US classics too...long as we're not discontinued, that is. :D

So true, really is funny how that works.

My only real gripe with Benchmade is they always seem to discontinue their best knives. In fact you can count on it. Would be so nice if some of these classic's were still available...

 titanium handles with spacers and m390 steel would be a winner in many eyes

The Snody designed 420 Resistor is neat and weird all at once. The 2004 catalog introduced it, the Mel Pardue/Osborne collaboration 670 Apparition with it's defeatable 'Optimizer' torsion bar assist, and my favorite - the 630 Skirmish. Below, bottom up, Snody-designed 420 Resistor, 425 Gravitator with it's Wharncliffe-style blade, and the spear-point 426. I drooled over all of them in the gunstore and catalog, decided on the 630 Skirmish too late - all gone - I bought the last 635(BK) I could find a couple of years back- it didn't satiate my 630-lust - but Evil-bay did! Then I found a deal for a no-box 630 from one of those gunshow knife-sellers - two 630's! Below are the Snody's:

Below is, far right, my 630 Skirmish, with the 610 Rukus (Another canned favorite!) and a Buck 110 for scale:

They change knives often, leaving dealers with few examples to 'discount' - before they develop a 'cult' following from us knife-sluts! Ah, but it's fun. I'm toying with a mark down 612-101 right now - with a s/n mismatched box... knife-gluttony at it's worst!!

the kulgera and subrosa are among my fav and main used ....
the don't seem to get much love over there though .....

Hiya Pascal, well I don't care for the 930 very much, but treasure my 790. Just got my 'Sub back from Lifesharp and fully tuned, it's among my favorites. I hope all's well with you and family. Regards my friend. Joe

I always thought the Scorch was underrated. I never hear anything about them. They are really nice knives and being double action really adds the fun factor. N680 is a well performing steel that I also barely hear anything about. I would have kept mine if it wasn't a combo edge.
