Most UNDERRATED Knives, Folders and Fixed Blades

martinni knives, EKA folder (swedish, green rubber handles w/lion logo, says "normark" on it.), Buck bantam and one I never expected much out of but was pleasantly surprised was a shrade X timer.

i bought a gerber ( hate them) 3.5 presto from smkw for 20 dollars and it is a really good knife! might not hold a edge long but sharpens up quick and really has a sharp edge! even has copper ( i think) spacers with no blade wobble.wouldnt pay more for it but for 20 i couldnt beat it now once i used it!:)

I don't see them mentioned too often but the Camillus Heat is a pretty decent folder- think they've been discontinued though.

I concur with tenman. For under $60.00, this was a quality knife at that price-point for many. Good steel, nice assist opener, solid lock-up, and a tough handle with good surface gripping. My 'Heat' is an occasional EDC in my rotation...

I think Ray Ennis' Entrek fixed blade knives are great knives for the price. These are "handmade" knives in 440C for less than $150!

I don't know if it is really underrated persay, because every time I hear it mentioned it is in praise, but you don't here the Fallkniven U2 mentioned near enough.

I think the CRKT S2 is one heck of knife that doesn't get mentioned much. I really don't like CRKT products much but this one really impresses me. Titanium handle...ats-34 blade...rock solid frame-lock and super smooth one-handed opening.

Cold Steel Voyagers/Vaqueros

I agree. I sold a 4" Vaquero (at the time, it was called El Hombre) as I was planning on getting the Vaquero Grande. I couldn't see the point of having both.

It wasn't super cheap, but it didn't cost a fortune, either. For the price, it was well made, and provided a solid lockup when opened.

The Mel Pardue designed Benchmade Rant. Great value, 440C, I got mine for under $50, and the balance is as good as any $200 knife I've purchased. Great little camping knife with a wide blade, nice finish, and a decent sheath included.

gerber gator

i don't know why, but i really like that knife. if just felt so good in my hand.
