Most You've Paid for an EDC?

Sonny - to answer your question - 6.75% tax.
So around $443.59ish for my Large Sebenza. Yes it was more than the normal going right. I just don't have pay pal or a credit card and don't trust sending an untrackable M.O. or anything with that amount of money through the post office. It could be easily lost or destroyed or who knows what. So I went to the local shop. That and I just helped keep them open lol.

450 for my Small Snakewood Sebenza. If I have to do something really "nasty" then I'll pull out my SAK - also if I need to unscrew something, too.

$130 for a Benchmade 943. A ridiculously expensive (for me) purchase but worth every penny.

Everything I buy gets carried. Otherwise, for me anyway, what's the point of having them?

My CRKs, the small plain Sebbie and the CRK/WC StarTac 'zaan below ($430 delivered - my most expensive knife & EDC knife!), now ride in sheaths - lessening the serious 'character' building marks.

$118.00 On a Benchmade 551H20 Griptilian.
I only got H20 'cuz I hate rust with a burning passion

i have had more problems with that knife rusting then any other in my collection. in my experiance 154cm, s30v, s35vn, m390, bd-30p, xhp all have better rust resistance than x15-tn

As a newbie on this forum (first post) , I do not wish to come across as the pretentious type, but enjoy this topic more than just about any, and thus it has sparked my input. My current EDC is a "Super 6" CQC6 custom, w/ Emerson's typical titanium bolsters, "wave-feature" and Micarta scales. I also typically have fixed-blade semi-EDC knives as well, but none that really compare to the "6". I take pride in making some enthusiasts cry, because of using it, and getting the typical cosmetic wear on the bolsters from carry.

Okay, but how much did you pay?

Six Bills, glad I got it when I did, :o

...I could not afford that knife in today's economy. :grumpy:

The most I've ever paid for an EDC knife was about $115 by the time shipping was added for the Para-military 2 that I carry almost every single day.

$750 for a DDR HD Maxx recurve tanto. I missed the he'll out of it and its a favorite carry knife.

Pretty much all my knives are users, but I haven't had the ability financially to get anything above 125 yet (That was for a BM51)

500 for my demko ad10, will be 800 I think for my demko 4max, when its my turn.

I think this a subject that will have a cap to it, price paid for an EDC. One would really really REALLY have to love a certain custom makers work to pony up a large sum of cash just for an EDC while also not settling for anything else. Strange as it seems, the justification we put on buying knives for non use is easier then the justification for knives we know we will use, but maybe thats just my opinion.

$290.00 for a Tom Krein. I'm in the same boat as others, I don't buy knives for them to sit around. I use them. On some, ot does take awhile to get over the fear and cut some stuff.
