First "I'll take it" post, email or PM gets dibs. Please follow up your post with an email. Please don't low ball me. I am being forced to thin the heard a little bit by my better half and on top of Christmas presents this year, I just bought a very expensive ring.
Trades: I am not looking for anything other than maybe a SAR-6 (users okay), but if you have anything awesome, I'll check it out.
While the MOAD has the reach and versatility, the Dog Father has the power and is a Res-C chopping machine. I like the MOAD and Dog Father equally. The Dog Father wins for its steel, greater chopping power, svelte & classic look and its Satin finish. The MOAD wins for its length, which makes it both a great chopper and a machete, and its awesomeness.
1. Dog Father LE - $360 - ON HOLD - (about what I have in it, plus shipping and a little bit for my wallet) Brand new and unused in cardboard sheath with factory edge. Never inserted into a sheath.
Comes with a great Kydex Dangler sheath made by our friend and fellow HOG drbarnes. It is OD green on the front and black on the back. The belt clip is kydex and is allows you to remove the sheath from your belt without removing the belt. Barnes is as close to a professional sheathmaker, and even better than a few that have come and gone, as I have seen for a guy who doesn't spend a ton of time doing it. I have either the first or second sheath he ever made, and it is fantastic!
The custom plush case is not included, but if it'll help you decide whether you want the knife or not, then you can have it.
I want to sell this one even less. I have another so I won't weep too hard. This was and has always been my SYKCO grail knife. It is the knife that I first saw in the field that brought me to SYKCO's webpage and immediately made me spend thousands and thousands of dollars on Busse & Kin over the last year.
2. MOAD (1311) $285 - SOLD - Brand new and unused in cardboard sheath with a nice factory edge.
Specs:
Blade Thickness = 3/16"
Blade Length = 13.5"
Overall length = 18.25"
Blade Width = 1.75"
Handle = Resiprene C
Steel = SR101
Heat Treat = 58-60 Rc
I call the 1311 the MOAD, because it truly is the Mother of All Dogs. I have been chopping everything in sight with my user and it is a monster chopper. I literally haven't been able to put it down since I got it. It has replaced the Busse Basic 11 as my go-to big blade and has found a permanent spot in my woods ruck. It is a hybrid chopper/machete with immense chopping power and the right balance and reach to be a great machete, all in a light enough package to carry on the belt or in a ruck. Read my review and all the others to see why else this blade is so amazing.
The top one in the sheath is mine. The exposed spine sheath, in this case made by AZwelke, really does allow you to belt carry this beast. It is really light, too - much lighter than my Dog Father.
Shipping:
Blade and Sheath will ship USPS priority w/ delivery confirmation and insurance. CONUS only for now as I am unable to ship internationally from work.
Payment:
I'll accept USPS Money Order or Paypal for payment. Price is for CONUS delivery only. Buyer pays PP fees, if applicable.
Etc.:
