Mother of all CAK's

I just recieved a custom 22" CAK, white metal with an awesowe gray and black horn handle. It's HUGE! I can't wait to try it out this weekend. Just for size reference the other photo is with a 16" AK, it makes it look and feel like a pocket knife!!!!

All the pics are gone but this is the thread about it. It's a 40" 7 pound Ganga Ram. Truly the mother of ALL HI blades.

First of all, let's go over some basic numbers. The khukuri itself is just about 40.5" wide, with a 32" long blade. It weighs around seven pounds. The spine is a hair under 3/4" thick. Center of balance is 11" forward of the bolster. (Not habaki.)

Still with me? Good. The karda is 16" long, with a 10" blade. It weighs about 18 ounces. The chakmak is slightly longer at 17", with the steel portion being 9" long. It weighs 16 ounces. The entire rig - khukuri, scabbard, accessories - reads at about ten pounds on my bathroom scale. This is a khukuri with presence.

I hear ya... My 25" CAK comes in at 72 Oz and makes my other Kuks look anemic.

Perspective might help...Dave is a big guy...6'3" or 6'4". Maybe taller.

Dang, that's a nice combination of white metal and horn handles dodgeem33. I'm going to have to add one like that to my list. Anyone know if khuk envy is bad for your health? I imagine it weakens the wallet pretty good though!
