Mother of Pearl Carbon Fiber?

I just came across this. I've never seen it before. I was thinking it was just Kirinite, but KnifeCenter has the inlays labeled as "Mother of Pearl Marbled Carbon Fiber". They're usually pretty accurate with their listings. I don't imagine it's CF in the truest sense, but neither is Alutex and that gets a pass. Anyone here handle this stuff before? It looks cool, but I'm not interested enough in the knife to buy it. I can think of a dozen other knives I would love to see it on though.

Hmm, interesting but I am not sure it is a Fat Carbon variant. Looks too "plasticy" to be carbon based. However, I really wish manufacturers would retire the front flipper design...
 
I guess I'll be the first lone weirdo to say I think it looks interesting. I'd like to see what it looks like in sunlight.
