I would personally recommend a lot more than a paper mask.

MOP, G-10, Pine, oak, steel, ivory, Micarta, etc. ..... Wear a good respirator with proper filters. I really like a PAPR system. A good respirator is a must for safety. Only fools work with poor or no lung and eye protection. A paper mask is about as useful in knifemaking as a paper condom is in lovemaking.

Well now, that was truth full and sure made me giggle. The paper mask , which it is not, I was thinking of is the 3M No.8710 for dusts and mists.TC-21c-132
