Mother's Day Knife

I always have trouble coming up with something for Mother's Day. The standard flowers and card seem too predictable. So this year I decided to go with something different.

I went with the smaller one shown for $99 (the Compact). These knives are made in France by Chambriard. I love the file work on the backspring, and I'm hoping that my Mom will as well.

The top one looks like it has a lock of some sort. That's not a button on the back in the middle?

Good catch: the largest of the three shown is a lockback; the other two are slipjoints.

She absolutely loved it and plans on carrying it in her purse. I was very impressed with the knife; the snakewood handle had great figure. The flowing curves and filework on this knife really make for an elegant folder.
