So.
Today I ordered a custom ring for my wife from the local jeweler so after only two weeks, this needs to go. I have to keep the Stone wash version I have coming to practice some finish techniques I am working on.
Sadly this one has CPM 154 which rocks, but beggars cant always be chooser's. So I need to settle for the S30V. Although the difference is in our heads. Yes that is a fact.
Used SMF-
- New style lock up rock solid and smooth at 50% broken in. Does not get better than this.
- Black Blade in CPM 154/ Re-Profiled to 15 per side with a 40 degree micro. This matches the Sharpmaker perfect. I finished on wet 2k paper and stropped it. This really show cases the cutting power of this knife. And you dont have to do the work.
The 154 is amazing and just takes an amazing edge on the Strop. It has a really nice hard heat treat so you really cannot over strop this puppy
-Flame treated Ti Side and stock parts, Clip is Sweet.
This thing is EDC ready and I hate to see it go. Everything about the operation and lock up is beyond perfect. You will see what I mean when you get it. Cosmetic use shows as you would expect but that is normal.
So this one is priced low so I can put this as the final payment on my wifes gift.
