Motor mount for belt tension?

This weekend I assembled every last part of the NWGS from Mr Mickley's excellent plans. Now I need to buy a motor.

I had been mulling the idea of mounting it to a hinge under the bench and running the belt through a slot... until I discovered that the motor will weigh approx 40lbs.

So is there a quick and dirty way to mount the motor so that I can adjust belt tension as it wears, and switch the belt from pulley to pulley quickly?

Help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

im not sure if this helps but here is a link that shows how Ed Caffery set up his kmg with tension like you said. You could add weight to your motor mount if the tenion isnt enough.
