Motor question

Hey guys and gals,

I have a Speck Pumpen motor off of a pump. It is a 3hp 3ph 3400rpm 60hz motor. I have attached a picture of the motor plate(hopefully I did it right). My question is, how do I determine if this is 2 pole or 4 pole?

The rpms tell you its a 2-pole. A 4-pole at 60Hz would be in the 1700 rpm range.

Excellent, thank you! That's what I suspected, but didn't want to make the wrong assumption and spend extra money!
