Motor RPM

You'll want to look at the horse power of the motor and what application. If it's a grinder motor, then the size of the drive wheel and the drive system will come into play.
 
Yes, 1750 RPM is enough but like A.S. said all other factors will play a part in the end performance and belt surface speed.
