Just in case my posts are annoying. 😁

I will put my Motorbike road trip travels here, feel free to add any Motorbike road trip you have done (but not other vehicles please).

If you arent sure if I am joking in my posts I most probably am,its a very annoying trait we picked up in the British Army (we joked about everything even death).

Today it was a chocolate box village community cafe.

They served me a lovely cuppa tea and a double Gloucster panini with chilli jam.

I also bought a Portugese Nata, which was fitting as I was surrounded by woman nattering. 🤭

I spotted some wild (they were furious 😅) blackberries at the back of the garden.

They said I could pick as many as I wanted.

I bought some bread and butter as well,it was getting hot so they gave me some ice so everything didnt melt.

A very relaxing place to stop.

My knife today was a CJ Johnson clip point Barlow,a lovely little pocket knife.

I used my Barlow to cut the top of my water bottle and put the blackberries inside to stop them turning to jam before I got home.

On getting home I found my latest Barlow, a Boker on my door step.

I cant fault the very old wood, nor the fit and finnish, not quite the history of the old CJs but nice enough. 😍

Johnny, I enjoy your motorbike travels. I enjoy a good day trip or longer road trip, I’m just horrible at always taking photos with my knives so I rely on people like you to document your trips for us👍

Give it a go bud, I love to see other peoples trips it give me inspiration, its always good to see how others do it.

With the photos I use my phone nowadays but I do put a lot of effort in,composing editing etc.

Dont tell anyone but years ago I was carrying Spyderco and other modern folders 😁 but now I have seen the light.

Great photos Johnny, your old Johnson Barlow is a faithful friend and nicely broke in as they say:) The Boker has some catching up to do work wise!

Be sure to inform your two wheeled mates of the joys of ownership of old pocket knives;)
Serious power bump with the full system of dialled in. Baffle in is smart imo. Is your eccentric at six or 12 o'clock?

I stopped posting pictures of knives on the bike sites it was always misunderstood.

Nothing to exciting yesterday.

I went for my annual MOT at my favourite back street garage, it passed.😇

Then headed of to a bigger shop to look at bikes and riding gear,I liked the look of the Klim gear but the prices.

I had a baked potato from the van outside the shop,it was delicious as they only gave me a fork I used my SAK to cut it up.

On the way I explored this little dead end lane ive passed many times but never gone down.

I found a quaint little tea stop, lovely little canal bridge and lots of well maintained canal boats.

Ive never ridden motorbikes...the ones with pedals have caused me enough injuries and pain...
Grisly fireman humour:
Close eyes while reading if squeamish:
I attended an exploded acetylene cylinder many years ago...the guy loading a flatbed truck had dropped it and broken the neck resulting in a big fire and him being liquidated in the blast ...the biggest part we found was a leg.. his head was 90m away. Apparently he had blue eyes...one blew this way one blew that way...seemed funny at the time...its how we dealt with it.Not so much nowdays.
Take care on the road John.

He probably didn't suffer much.

I'll handle the propane tanks at Lowe's a little more carefully.

Sheesh thats how we dealt with things as well.

One exercise I was on I was repairing a Ferret scout car,the engines in the back under the louvres.

When all of a sudden the CSM of Z company turns up in a Land Rover with a lot of dud 81mm mortar shells, from surprisingly enough Mortar platoon.😁

He said to me keep an eye on these till we get back and put them down on the far side.

I thought this isnt a good idea if they go up next to the petrol engine Ferret I am toast.

I was like a monkey crouching down with my arm over the top trying to fix the engine by feel. 🤣
