Mount Franklin: F1 and Recon Scout Pair (with pics)

Great pics! I was torn between the F-1 and the A-1 when I finally decided on the A-1 I just got in. The edge on my A-1 is awesome too. I've always liked the looks of the Recon Scout, I'm always hoping I'll run a cross an older one with some wear I can get at a decent price just to check out. Which steel is your R.S. made of?

SK5 made in Taiwan. I don't have a problem with asian made steels as long as I know the product has good reviews from people that actually use them. I'm continually impressed with the RS - I keep thinking it will chip out or dull over from the serious abuse I put it through batoning Australian redwood but it always comes out the victor.

I haven't sharpened it yet and it's still pretty darn sharp after three outings while camping. Waiting on my Lanksy set up to arrive so I can spend some quality time improving the edge which came just shy of shaving sharp.
