I have Magura Martas on the DirtWorks and I love them. They're easy to set up and work great. BTW, the Motobecane turned out great Jake.

Thanks brother, I am pleased with the way it turned out. Has a nice look to it. :) Rides fast and quiet, a joy to pedal.

Ive always liked the Martas....I am gonna look into them.

Here are a couple shots of my son and I over the past few years. The first is a state park that is 4 miles from my house and a 17 mile loop of varied riding with some major climbs, rocks, roots, switchbacks, etc. The second is a 15 mile rolling hill loop around a lake. Beautiful trail.. My red bike is a Titus LocoMoto and the silver is a Titus Racer-X. My son's is a Specialized HardRock.

I don't have a lot of pictures riding my bike, because I'm taking the pictures.

The closest I have to a picture of riding my current bike ('05 Specialized Enduro) is one I took yesterday whilst out riding and geocaching:

Here's one I like, riding my '97 Schwinn Homegrown FS with a buddy at Frenchman Coulee, WA:

Trying to see how much stress my frame can take (maybe this is why it cracked and I had to get a new bike...):

This is a fun thread. Don't get my Giant out much right now due to time constraints. This is like a fix for me.

Nice pics Mountainman! Those homegrowns are cool bikes.

Im also a fan of Specialized. They make a nice bike.

Thanks, J. I enjoyed it for many years -- especially since it was my first bike with suspension! I would still be riding it, but the frame started cracking around the seat tube clamp. Had it welded once, but it didn't hold long.:grumpy:

The good part of that story is that I had to get a new bike, and ended up with the Enduro. I LOVE having 5+ inches of travel front and rear, 2.2 inch tires, and most of all -- hydraulic disc brakes! These are truly one finger brakes, no matter what the conditions, speed, or angle. I'm a much faster and more comfortable rider on this bike, because it's got a lot more ability to absorb punishment.

A bad day on my old Schwinn:

Fortunately, I was just starting my ride when this happened.

No pictures, but I ride a Marin hardtail that I've had just over a year. It sadly hasn't seen any trails for at least a month, and at least two since anything other than the lame, flat singletrack around Lincoln NE.

It does see quite a bit of time on the rails-to-trails system around here, and I ride it to class daily. It gets plenty of miles.

sO I bent my de-railer on the last ride I went on. I bought a new mount and put it on. If I post a picture of the derailer, could you show me the direction in which it goes in and needs to be "set"? I can adjust it afterwards but I'm kinda at a stopping point and I don't want to bring it in, its a Jamis.

Mine is a Jamis Durango (I think thats the name). Has worked great. I even take it turkey hunting :)

Post away, Joe. I've worked on my derailleur before, and I'm sure there are lots of others on here who could give you some good input.
